Els Woldhek of Whatels

‘Surrounded’ stools by London-based Els Woldhek of  Whatels studio introduce bright and colorful handmade garlands using a simple rope making technique. The twisting of the threads on two occasions keeps them twined and in their place. In the means of creating a pattern of colour and a soft cushion for the stool, twisted fabric becomes wound around a circular base. 

Basé à Londres, Els Woldhek of Whatels studio propose des guirlandes lumineuses et colorées à la main en utilisant une simple corde technique de fabrication. La torsion des fils à deux reprises les garde retors et à leur place. Dans le but de créer un modèle de couleur et un coussin moelleux pour le tabouret, le tissu torsadé est enroulée autour d'une base circulaire.
